Devard Darling and the As One Foundation’s project, Operation Hydration, has been accepted by the Pepsi Refresh campaign for the month of October, 2010. During the month, Operation Hydration will be part of the public voting to receive $250,000 in grant month.
Operation Hydration will will provide testing and training to the athletic related staffs of the 30 high schools in Houston, Texas. The goals of the operation are:
- Promote importance of hydration where sickle cell disease is present.
- Prevent athletic related deaths due to lack of hydration
