Karim Alston is one of the new coaches to the Devard Darling Football Camp this year.  Karim is a graduate (BBA 01’ – Business Finance) and former All-American captain of the University of Houston track and field team. Karim was a 17-time gold Medalist in Conference USA Track and Field competition.  He was twice named the C-USA Freshman of the Year, for 1997 Indoor and Outdoor track and field and was also honored as a member of The Conference USA All-Decade Team. Karim brings 5 years of coaching experience to the camp this year, and a lot of enthusiasm and positive energy.  For the past two years, through a grant opportunity from the National Football Foundation’s Play It Smart Program, Karim has had the honor to mentor and develop several of Houston’s brightest football student-athletes while speaking during The Houston Texans’ Junior Player Development (JPD) and High School Player Development (HSPD) workshops.  He is passionate about serving the Bahamian youth this summer through the As One Foundation.
